Makes since right? Did you know when we feel stressed our immune system suffers. Crazy but when we allow tension to distract us from making positive choices, our health can deteriorate. I guess if we try to think of stress this way maybe we can attempt to manage it better. It really is a CHOICE to avoid stress triggers and start making more positive lifestyle choices! In return we will have more of a healthy body and healthy mind!
Constant stress and worry are actually all forms of "mind toxins". Chemicals such as endorphins can stimulate the production of extra cortisol and adrenaline in the blood stream, making it difficult to fight illnesses. (1)
There are things we can do to help, naturally:
For starters we can give our mind a break from constant overload. (TV, radio, cell phones or the Internet.) Just turn them off when they are not needed.
Meditation is great especially when you include God!
Make a conscious decision to replace negative thoughts with positive ones. If we learn to pay more attention to everything that is positive in our life then the negative won't seem as powerful.
Once you've calmed your mind, get outside and take a brisk walk, ride a bike or go for a run around the block.

Great tip for the day:
Start including cinnamon to your diet!! Cinnamon actually can help our digestive system. It can help gas, bloating, stomach upset, and diarrhea. Great thing to think about this beautiful morning! Haha! Can't believe it but in just 1 tsp. of Cinnamon it contains 28mg of calcium, almost one mg of iron, over a gram of fiber, and quite a lot of vitamins, C and K are two of them. I sprinkle cinnamon in my Greek yogurt over day. Which might I add Greek yogurt has more protein than other yogurts and Dannon Greek has less sodium than the others. Mix Greek yogurt, walnuts, fresh fruit and some cinnamon and you so have a delicious snack!!
